this position exists to manage the new hire experience and provide overall assistance across the HR Department.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for onboarding initiatives - including in-person follow-ups with new hires Conduct new hire tours highlighting our product, production facilities, and on-site company benefits Assist and manage on-site training programs Responsible for unemployment for Indiana employees Assist employees with general HR questions and requests Assist with employee relations situations and initial investigations Provide back-up coverage for new hire orientation Provide back-up coverage for new hire entry in the HRIS system Provide back-up coverage and assist with switchboard coverage during daily breaks and scheduled vacations Perform other related duties as assigned Experience / Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience One to two years related experience required Necessary Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to function well in high-paced, and at times stressful, environment Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software Work Requirements This position may require sitting, standing, and working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 95% of the day.
Requires ability to travel to plants across entire campus.
Full time position which may require some flexibility in hours and days worked including occasional Saturdays as needed.
